What Can be Challenging in Plus-Size-Bridalwear?
At Lucardis Feist, we don’t believe in rules about what curvy brides can or cannot wear. Almost any silhouette can look spectacular when it is properly constructed.
What matters most is structure, proportion and support.
Very thin, unstructured fabrics can cling to the body instead of shaping it.
Mermaid and trumpet silhouettes without proper corsetry or boning can lose their clean line. With the right construction, however, they can be among the most striking silhouettes for a curvy bride.
Delicate straps combined with a heavier bodice or skirt may become uncomfortable, particularly with a fuller bust.
Very closed necklines combined with a lot of skirt volume can visually compress the silhouette, depending on the bride’s proportions.

Fabrics That Work in Your Favor
For fuller figures, how a fabric behaves matters just as much as how it looks:
Brocade and jacquard richly woven, structured fabrics that hold their own shape beautifully without needing extra support underneath, making them a strong, reliable base for a full skirt or a fitted bodice.
Lace whether layered over solid lining for rich texture, or worn sheer against the skin for a delicate "second skin" effect on sleeves and illusion necklines, lace is one of the most versatile fabrics in the gothic bridal wardrobe.
